There are no pictures this time, but just a story. Aaron, oh my Aaron... His smile shines my whole world. He also rattles my whole world! I've really thought about dedicating a blog to just the adventures with Aaron. This child rarely stops moving. He's always playing with toys, OR getting into things! Tonight I gave both the boys a bath. I took Aaron out first, and put a diaper on him. I left for twenty seconds to retrieve his pajamas from the other room when I hear John Michael yell, "No, Aaron! Don't get into the bath tub with your diaper on!"
I ran into the bathroom to find Aaron squatting in the bathtub WITH his diaper on! I promptly told him in a stern voice that we don't get into the bathtub with his diaper on! This was met with a laugh from both of the boys. This is quite calm compared to other things that have happened.
For example, still rather calm, but still a mess: Aaron decides to use the Diet Coke box to get the spices off of the frig. I hear John Michael say, "Mommy! Aaron is doing something wrong!"
Once again, I rush to the kitchen (now, once again I was trying to accomplish something) to find marjoram all over the floor. Thanks to my Swiffer vac the mess was cleaned up right away!
I've found a whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet. I've found our toilet brush covered in wet toilet paper and urine thanks to John Michael not flushing the toilet and Aaron finding it fun to swish the brush around. I know there are many other stories I could tell now, but none are coming to mind. He brings comedy to our life! I also presume he will be the one to give me many of my gray hairs in the future! I love him dearly, my sweet Aaron!

Great Friends, Great Places!

This is the crew that went to Mess For Kids and Krispy Kream! We had a GREAT time with everyone! We also went to Miller Park where the kids played in the water and on the play structures. What a blast we all had! Once again, we went with a great group of people. The kids loved eachother and the moms had great conversation!

Aaron will be a future kareoke singer. The only thing I'm concerned about is the way he put his mouth all over the microphone. I'm hoping he doesn't catch anything that requires hospitalization! I know, I'm paranoid! If you looked at the microphone you'd wonder the same thing!

The boys were having the tea party. Thanks for a great time!!!

The Clone Wars!
Saturday I spent the early afternoon at the Arts Festival with Aaron and my mom. We had a nice time seeing all of the glass art. We had a very long lunch at Guido's. I usually really like their food, but I had a steak sandwich which wasn't very good. The meat was quite tough!Later Meghan and her friend Meghan babysat Aaron while we took John Michael to see The Clone Wars with his best buddy, R. R is almost a year younger than John Michael, but you would never know! The boys seemed to like the movie! After the movie we decided to make it a dinner at Jupiters too. Once again we had a really nice time with R and his parents. I think R's dad and I enjoy winning the tickets more than the boys! I think I need a trip to Vegas! We ate pizza, talked, and played until I think almost 9 p.m.
Monday the boys and I made a trip to Curtis Orchard with a few friends! Our neighbor, Mandy and her boys, and Tina with her family all met us there! I feel so blessed to have great friends to spend time with. All of the kids are good natured! The moms are great too!
Tell me a story, Aaron!
Concert in the park!
Last Thursday we rushed over to the park for a concert....Okay, well I was there for the music. John Michael made a bee line to the playground. Aaron enjoyed the bubbles and music for a short period. We met our neighbors while we were there. They have two boys ages 4 and 6 1/2. Our boys LOVE them! Every day they ask if C and J are outside playing. The parents are also great! As some of you know John is usually pretty quiet, but it was nice to glance over at the Dads and see them chatting away! M, the mom is also very nice! It is SO nice to have neighbors to be friends with. It has always been a dream of mine to have friends with kids that like your kids and you like the parents! We're planning on having movie and taco night soon. This week we're also planning on going to Make a Mess Kids Fun Center, a new place in Normal! M is crafty, and we're both procrastinators! We're planning on making yummy chocolates for Halloween. She actually loves to decorate for Halloween so I'm hoping it will inspire me to do the same.
The boys get along so well. The older brothers do enjoy picking on the younger brothers. Anyway, back to the park. The boys had a blast, and the parents actually enjoyed themselves too! We chatted away, and made sure our children didn't disappear! After the concert we all walked home together. Of course the boys wanted to continue to play at 8 p.m. but John wanted ice cream! The four of us made a trip to Custard Cup, and devoured yummy custard! It was a very nice night!
This picture has nothing to do with the park, but I had to post it. Aaron LOVES to dress up. He usually has someone's shoes on, a belt, glasses, or something! Today he got a hold of the oven gloves and wore his favorite glasses. He cracks me up!

My sleeping Boobah!
Aaron was tuckered out from the park! He loves sleeping on his pillow he's had for two days now. He likes having his big brother's pillowcase on the pillow. It is almost 5 p.m. and I tried to wake him up. Here's what happened.
Afternoon at the Park!
Yes, he's still wearing the glasses! We stopped at Hessel park today since the weather was amazing! John Michael searched around for someone to play light sabers with. Next time we know better not to bring them. He finally found a little girl to bury the light sabers with and played in the water. Needless to say when it was time to leave he was not happy to leave his new friend!
Prairiefarms and THE MOUNTAIN
This is where we began our evening. We met Tina and her two at Prairie Farms for a beautiful evening! The weather was gorgeous! John Michael and Aaron really liked walking around looking at the animals. John Michael spent part of the time trying to protect his brother from the animals.
After the farm we walked over to the 'mountain'. It was nostalgic watching the boys climb up and down the hill. I remember being little walking from my great grandparents house over to the hill to play. We used to roll down the hill, sled, and climb all around it. Now here are my two little boys having a grand time on the same hill! I could not get Aaron to roll down the hill. *laugh* It is probably a good thing. He did try to eat a nasty cheeseburger that was at the top of the hill. I really do feed my children! John Michael and Evie spent the rest of the time building a camp fire. Oh yes, and Evan actually CRAWLED up to the top of the hill! It was a great evening!
Wait until he's 15!
I LOVE taking pictures of the boys knowing in about ten years I'll hear them say, "Mom! Why did you take that picture? How embarrassing!" or maybe they will also find it amusing! John Michael is wearing cat ears we also received from the same birthday party we got the glasses from. The party favors were a hit! Okay, so the true boy in him took them off and started tearing the feathers off yelling, "Party time!" No longer do the purple cat ears look so fancy! The cat was in a big fight!
Building with Daddy!
While I cleaned the playroom John Michael and Daddy built what John Michael called New York City. Our family has never been there. After I took the picture John actually finished it up to the ceiling. Aaron rode around on his airplane wearing his fashionable sunglasses he received from a friend's birthday party!
