You ask, "Her dream is another boy?"No, that is not what I'm talking about. Although, I would grow old faster, another child wouldn't be far from another dream. I'm talking about photography. Once in a while I take a picture that makes me realize how much I love photography. I think it was about nine years ago when I told John it would be nice to have a camera to take random pictures. There's this house out in the country off of Race Street. Across the street is a lonely tree. To this day I still have not taken a picture of it. Many times I've driven by taking an imaginary picture of it.
The little boy pictured above is a cousin of John Michael and Aarons on John's side. He reminded me a lot of John Michael when he was that age (I think around a year). At the moment I cannot recall his name (sorry!). He's a cute chunky like John Michael was. This little guy isn't interested in walking. He's just fine toddling around. I snapped this picture at an engagement brunch (btw, it was a FEAST!). The room was filled with mirrored doors. I was lucky to snap a shot of his cute pudgy face! I rarely brag about pictures I take, but I am damn proud of this one! I seriously need to learn the technical side of the camera. Poor John always sets it for me. It is just out of pure laziness.
The reunion went rather well. John Michael and Aaron enjoyed themselves to the fullest! They loved having all of that family around! John Michael probably got the biggest kick out of it. He ran around playing Star Wars with pretty much all of the family members. Luckily they were patient with him. He ran around with tiny light sabres poking the great uncles and aunts. I asked him to stop at first, but then I realized no one seemed to be irritated. I hoped that if anyone was annoyed than they would ask him to stop. That night there were many jedi's and darth vaders in the room!

There was actually a night both boys fell asleep on the sofa bed and John and I were able to enjoy a series we've started to watch on our small dvd player (earphones used). We also spent some time at the Magic House in St. Louis with John's sister. If you have children, GO! If you don't have children, find one and take them! We went on a Friday and it was pretty crazy. There were tons of people there, but we were still able to have fun.
Today is John Michael's 4th birthday!! I really can't believe it has been 4 years. It's getting to the point that I don't see the baby in him anymore. Sounds strange, I know. Maybe someone will understand what I mean. He amazes me every day. In St. Louis the GPS told me to turn right after 1.5 miles. I turned left to get out of the parking lot. The next thing I hear is John Michael telling me the GPS told me to turn right in 1.5 miles and I turned left instead. He told me I needed to listen to the GPS.I love watching him build with legos. I can see those wheels spinning. He has a plan and he executes it. When he makes a ship he makes sure that each side is the same. Sometimes it doesn't always have the same color. He's so smart and he's so loving! In the fall he'll be starting preschool. My first baby is growing up so fast. Aaron and John Michael have given me so much joy, and lets not forget the heart attacks.... Oh yes, and the few gray/white hairs I have on my head now! Each one of the white hairs are worth it! Happy Birthday, my sweet boo!
